Record temps are expected today.
110 the fancy meteorologists say.
With that kind of temp and the glaring sun,
For a shiny black lab like me it’s just not fun.
So today I will stay inside and sleep with a smile,
Because my family’s house has lots of cool tile.

But on a serious note, these temperatures aren’t just problematic for me. Insulin is very heat sensitive. So the girl has to wear a special cooling pump case on days like this. Because if the insulin gets warm it doesn’t work any more. And god knows that makes my life more difficult!
