July 11th, 2011, the girl was diagnosed with type one diabetes. For four years the girl has lived with this burden. 2/3rds of the girl’s life she and the mom and the dad have dealt with all the challenges that go along with T1D. I’ve only been around for two of those years and I’m exhausted!
So what is the girl doing on her four year diaversary? She and the mom are headed to Washington, D.C. to participate in JDRF’s children’s congress! The girl wants to tell her lawmakers face to face why more funding is needed for research for a cure of T1D! These people better be ready!
I’m proud of her. And I hope they listen. If there was a cure I could stop working! #jdrfdc4cc
We are all rooting for her and hope you can get lazy someday soon Darwin!
